#11. Last Stand Script

Today I got ‘last stand ‘script!

Time for the first reading and then the script analysis. I imagine that sound people who read scripts have their own approach, mine is a combination between David Sonnenschein and Randy Thom techniques.

I found this process crucial to avoid visual influences.

I usually read the script beforehand, because words, compared to visual, kind of inspire me to use a different approach. I like to think about sound before I see the film.

I’m seeing many sonic opportunities here, John Tueart's dialogue and quality of the words are clearly the focus point in the story, however I think that a crucial role might also be played by ambiance sounds! I’m imagining a lot of drone sounds in here!
